National Craft Gallery
The National Craft Gallery Kilkenny is located in Castle Yard, what was once the stable yard and coach houses for Kilkenny Castle which dates back to the 12th century, in the centre of the medieval city of Kilkenny. It represent the rich craft history associated with this area of Ireland. It was established in 2000 by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and is at the forefront of contemporary craft and design. It hosts exhibitions, events and educational programmes, to influence, inform and inspire craft in Ireland. Featuring both international and national artists.
